Kids' Opinion on I Can Handle Difficult People

The VPet is great to learn some skills to deal with difficult people. It helped me with a problem I was having with someone.

Wat is a way to handle difficult people when the difficult person is a teacher and they take advantage of the power that they have?

Yeah, but our teachers say personal things to get to you and sometimes its too much for it not to get to me.

I had a teacher that said they were shocked I didn't get the anwer and that they were disappointed in me. It bothered me, but I try to think that they make mistakes ,too and I try not to let it get to me. I just say to myself the teacher is an idiot.
At my school, the teachers try putting you down so you automatically have to have a good comeback unless you get shot down. There is just this one teacher that bugs me and then the next minute he is sucking up to you trying to make you feel better .
I dont know if anybody could understand this unless they were at this school.

If the teacher yells at you alot try to make sure you are not doing anything to annoy them, like not listening. If you listen to them and hand in the work and they are still mean just ignore them. They might be having problems at home. I had this with a social studies teacher who picked on me for no reason. You can't yell at them or be disrespectful. If it is too much , I would go to the guidance office.

What is a good thing to do when you get really upset with someone else?
I have a lot of trouble with difficult people too, but the best thing to do is to try and not yell and if that does not work go somewhere to like cool off or something. Haven't had a chance to try it yet but i'm sure that it works

Just try and ignore them as much as possible. If that doesnt work them tell somebody in charge.

In my class there is a kid who teases me. I try to ignore him but it is hard to. How should I get rid of him?

The same thing happened to me. What I did was ignore it. When that didn't work, I laughed it off. That also didn't work. Finally, I talked to an adult and he finally stopped.The adult talked to his mom. Now, he is pretty friendly with me.
