It is that dreaded time of year ; the start of August and parents and children seem to feel stress thinking school is coming soon. Is it the homework,tests or the fear of meeting new people? The answer could be a combination of all three . Whatever the reason , you need to know what to do to prepare yourself.
First off, take a deep breath and tell yourself change is good and exciting. You should also tell yourself you can do anything you set your mind to. Keeping a positive outlook will make you less tense and happier.
If you are going to a new school , go and check it out once or twice before you start. You should learn where the different rooms are and this will definitedly help. Also, if you are concerned about the work, review some math and keep reading books to get back into school material.
Also, remember that life is full of change for you and for everyone else. You are not alone in your concerns. Fight fear.
