Keep Organized to Be Relaxed posted by UNKNOWN

What is the best advice as a parent you can give your kids to be relaxed and on target for school? I will tell you what I tell my children and it has always WORKED. Stay organized and don't rush your work. Kids need to keep an agenda of their homework and future assignments. They should not leave school without checking the agenda. They should prioritize their work . Do the work that is due the next day first and start the work that is due in a few day next. As work is finished it should be checked off the list. The work due in a few days should be begun; even work on it ten minutes to make a start. NEVER PROCRASTINATE your work. This never works and causes much stress. I know from personal experience because my older daughter did this in her junior year of college. She found the hard way this doesn't work at all. Give your kids a little break between the work to go outside and do some physical activity, this helps their stress levels and focus! I do this with my twelve year old very active son. It helps his focus and he is less nervous. If a child is too nervous they don't concentrate as well. Try it and you will SEE the benefits. Good luck.

Best Ways to Lessen Depression posted by UNKNOWN

Now, that school has started you must feel the stress of the work and the tests. I know, that I ceertainly do. This stress will lead to depression if you are not careful. I know from personal experience. You might ask what can a parent recommend to their child to help? Should one run and take medicine? There are natural, safe ways to help this problem. The first thing I would do is to cut down on all the extra-curricular activities your child does. They should not have something everyday. This will drive them crazy and you too. Second , you must have them find time *(30 minutes a day) for physical activity. This releases certain hormones which calm you down and make you happy. Also, try and find some time to socialize. People that are always alone tend to be more depressed. Obviously, if this doesn't help you need to go to a doctor and get some medicine. The only thing to consider is that there are too many people on medicine for these problems. I think a life style change is what helps the most. See, and I am sure you will feel better.
