I strongly believe there is a leader hiding within most of us. There are ways to slowly get the qualities sharpened so you can display these skills. It takes time, practice and patience, but it can be done. There are five core steps to follow: 1. It is important to learn how to set and accomplish goals. These goals should be ones you are passionate about. Your enthusiasm will catch on to others. Setting goals contributes to more confidence. 2. Learn how to control stress. 3. Control other negative emotions such as anger and jealousy. 4. Become a good listener. So much is gained when we just step back and listen. 5. Show empathy towards others. Each of these skills feeds in to the other skill. Once you achieve these skills you will also be more relaxed and happier. Try and see.

Too many of us, look at our weaknesses and feel bad about ourselves. I feel to gain more self-confidence and happiness we need to emphasize our strengths. Write down all the things you are great at and that you enjoy. Build on these strengths. Take your positive attributes and make them even stronger. If you are an excellent soccer player and want to make a good team practice everyday at it and you will get even better. If your strength is playing an instrument, practice more and join a group where you can play with others. You will increase your friendships and improve your skill. If you do all of the above you will feel happier and more self-confident. You can also pick one of your weaknesses and try to work on it to improve that skill, too.

Strive For Happiness Not Perfection posted by UNKNOWN

Too many of us push ourselves and the kids to be perfect. Happiness doesn't seem all that important . We find it hard to accept mistakes we make. We excell in too many activities to become more perfect. But , at what expense does this goal towards perfection cost? I strongly believe that it creates more stress and unhappiness. It turns us to focus too much inside and not enough on just being happy. How can one achieve happiness? I feel you need to pursue interests that make you truly happy. It is not the quantity but the quality. These interests must be your passions. Find the time to reconnect with loved ones and to pursue a hobby that gives you alot of pleasure. You must also accept yourself when you make a mistake and learn from it and move on. If you learn to accept mistakes you will be happier. So , let us strive for happiness and not perfection in ourselves and our children.
